The bouquet of life

This photo project was created over a 10-month period at a Scottish care home. 
 
I surprised residents with flowers and photography. Some of the residents simply touched the flowers and smiles immediately came to their faces. The joy came for just a moment, a few minutes, or even seconds, and that is important for people who spend time in a care home.
 
Then came the time for taking photos. I prepared residents’ hands together by choosing a perspective and trying different positions. We spoke about how beautiful the flowers and hands are together, and how nice it was to spend time together every day.
